 Course Description: 

• This course consists of 8 modules within a school term. 
• This elective course covers employability skills required to enter and advance into professional career certification programs of your choice. 
• The 8-week module course will outline life skills, effective communication, professionalism, and the fundamentals of business. 
• Career Prep will assist the students in setting up their business plans. 
• Students will learn how to work as a team and understand how to build successful work foundations for sustainability.
• Students can earn a Job Readiness Seal on their diplomas.
• Students can earn Community Service Seal

• Through career pathways, students can build real-world skills, explore career opportunities, and find a career path they are passionate about—even before they begin college. 

Students participating in career pathways can gain real-world experience in the high-demand careers our community employers are looking to fill, ranging from cosmetology to health to construction to early childhood education. These electives are integrated throughout the school curriculum. They can help students make informed decisions about future career paths before deciding on a college experience, potentially saving students and their families money in the long term.
